Best experience so far in Fairbanks! We had never been here and got lucky to have Brian as our Amazing server!!! He spaced out our appetizer, salads, entree's and desserts perfectly! We started with the stuffed grape leaves, Yum! I had the special, Steak Oscar and my husband had the Moussaka, both were spot on! I forgot to take pictures of the wonderful salads... Seasoning on the steak was by far the best I've ever had! I substituted rice for the garlic mashed potatoes, All was perfect. We were in there exactly two hours however it didn't feel like it. Not rushed, great atmosphere, amazing food and Thank You Brian for the Best Service 🙏 You made our date night Perfect 💝
Great restaurant, delicious food. Exceptionally nice service from the hostess to our server. Even the owner stopped at our table to say hello. Highly recommended. One of the few good restaurants that's open till 10 pm.
I came in to Bobby’s after I was walking around downtown looking for a good hearty dinner place. I was immediately drawn in by the delicious smell coming from their direction. I ordered the Halibut which was served with a side salad, rice seasonal veggies(carrots and potatoes) and of course the halibut which was cooked to perfection. The staff was amazingly attentive and friendly, the inside decor is gorgeous and the place was clean. It’s a little on the pricey side but what can you do, it’s Alaska.In my opinion Bobby’s was pretty hooked up the portion was good and not exaggerating in size.
We had a wonderful dinner here. It’s classic low key Greek ambience. The hostess was so nice, as was our server, Kristie. My Rack of Lamb was delicious and the broiled Halibut was very good. The Twister IPA was great and the Alexander Valley Cab Sav. Excellent. The bathrooms (esp the woman’s) are legendary!! So clean and cool! My only opportunity area is that the Greek Salad is a modest upgrade ($3) vs the one included in the dinner, but it had only 1 Kalamata olive, and no red onion, and too many green peppers. Still, this is one of the best dinners in Fairbanks! VictorB
We are on cruise, had a stop here & my hubby & myself decided to make a small trip to downtown Fairbanks. Like many small towns, we walked around saw the Town Square small shops & stumbled upon Bobby Downtown to eat dinner. Little did we know that this restaurant serves Greek food! We visited Athens Greece a few years back & fell in love with Greek food. We are from German descent with dinners of meat, potatoes/ gravy & green beans. So this dinner was refreshing, a delight & most of all yummy! Big plus our waiter was always at our call! Great service. been here a few times and the food is always amazing, but recently i went with a party of 14 and the service was amazing & food was hot and fresh for everyone!
What a wonderful restaurant. Great food and portion sizes, excellent service (thank you, Debra), comfortable atmosphere. Our group tried: dolmathes (delicious!), meatloaf, spanakopita, lamb chops and gyro dinner. Absolutely fabulous. Don't miss it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Really great dinner tonight at Bobby’s. Lamb souvlaki was tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The accompaniment of rice, lemon potatoes and Greek salad made a perfect meal. Plus I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very friendly and hospitable. Plus they have Fernet!
Went out for drinks but ended up getting some appetizers as well. The drinks were very good and not super expensive (they also have a pretty decent number of options for cocktails). The calamari was good too. The mussels were cooked well just wished they were a little bigger. And the leafy greens with the ground beef filling😭 sooo good! The service was great! We had not made a reservation but the staff still looked to accommodate us as quickly as they could, maybe a 5 minute wait. But the host and waiters where phenomenal. I will say the place smelled just a bit funky when we first entered but I think that’s because someone has a dish with some sort of sea food on it. But aside that it’s a wonderful place!
I was looking for a fine dining experience in Fairbanks for my bday and Bobby's checked all the boxes. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great drinks. I will be going back.
